Egyptian education offers a wide range of levels and specializations across public, private and national (ahliya) schools, universities and institutes. Egypt’s long-established universities offer diverse programs, making it a great destination for international students. Many programs are taught in both Arabic and English.

Cost of studying in Egypt

Tuition for international students varies by university, major and level of study. Fees are usually higher for majors such as Medicine, Dentistry and Engineering. Living and housing costs also vary from city to city.

Some international students benefit from tuition discounts or facilities under the applicable regulations, including students from Sudan, Palestine and Syria, depending on the university, level, major and eligibility conditions. The Ministry of Higher Education also provides dedicated services for international students through the “Study in Egypt” initiative.
